Education for global citizenship
1) helps the youth to meet the challenges they will confront now and in the future.
2) guides them to rise to those challenges.
3) gives them knowledge,understanding, skills and values that they need.
4) involves them fully in their own learning through the use of a wide range of active and participatory learning methods.
5) gives them confidence, self-steem and skills of critical thinking,communication,co-operation and confilict resolution.
6) makes people to pay much attention to the basic education of children.
7) awares people to eradicate poverty or atleast decrease the gap between rich and poor.
8) encourages children and young people to care about the planet and to develop empathy with it.
9) informs them to respect other people’s points of view.
10) emphasizes methodologies like discussion and debate,role-play,ranking exercises and communities of enquiry.
11) informs people that the scope of Global citizenship is wider than a single scheme of work or subject.
